Yes! I have photographed engagements and weddings from coast to coast, and I love traveling to new destinations. No matter where you’re planning your special day, I would be honored to be part of it. Send me a note for a custom quote and details. Who knows - if it’s a place on my bucket list, you may find yourself with a few extra perks in your collection!
Of course! If you set up a meeting, I will automatically send you a couple wedding galleries to look through. It's so important to see my work from start to finish so you know what to expect! If you would like to see galleries before setting up a meeting, that's fine too. Just send me an email requesting them, and you'll receive galleries in your inbox ASAP.
Should we do an engagement session?
How many weddings do you photograph each year?
An engagement session is highly encouraged for all couples. Not only is it fun to take a few extra photos during this special time, it’s also the perfect way to get comfortable in front of my camera before the big day! Each session is 1-hour long and includes 35+ images. I always provide location suggestions and styling advice, and I have a style guide to help you prepare. Couples often use these photos for their wedding website and save the dates, and some order an engagement album as a special keepsake.
In order to give you the personalized attention you deserve, I limit the number of weddings I take each year. I have found the best photos happen when we take the time to get to know each other - we should feel like good friends by the time your wedding gets here! My schedule typically books up 10-14 months in advance or earlier for peak dates in April - June or September - November.
When will we receive our photos?
What's the best way to print our photos?
I know how exciting it is to see your photos, so I always deliver sneak peeks within a couple days! You'll receive the edited images in an online gallery so you can easily share with friends and family. Engagement galleries are delivered within 4 weeks of your session, and wedding galleries are delivered within 6 weeks.
As a full-service studio, I offer professional prints, albums, wall art, keepsakes and more. Save the Dates and Thank You cards are also available. Some products can be purchased directly through your online gallery, or you can order them during your reveal party. I have software to show you exactly how your photos would look on your walls. If you purchased an album, we'll also finalize the design together. My couples love not having to worry about all the technical details for these custom products! All collections also include a personal print release, which means you and your family can print photos anywhere you want for the rest of your life.
We would love to work together - how do we book?
To reserve your date, you'll simply need to sign a contract and pay a non-refundable retainer. Both can easily be done online! Your non-refundable retainer is 50% of the total, and the remaining balance is due one month before the wedding. I do require a meeting before booking just so we can get to know each other. I noticed you shoot film and digital. What does that mean?
I'm a hybrid photographer, which means I shoot with a mix of digital and film. By film I don't mean "video." I mean old school, physical rolls of film I send off to a lab to have developed! Not only does film allow me to slow down as an artist and be extra intentional with every photo. It also gives you soft, creamy tones that are simply not replicated in digital photos. Shooting film does have different lighting requirements, so I only use it in certain situations (i.e. during newlywed portraits on a wedding day or during a golden hour engagement session). The majority of your session and wedding will be digital, with a few rolls of film added.
